Diana Constantinide

Diana Constantinide, is a Swedish-Cypriot, international human rights lawyer at 33 Bedford Row Chambers. Her day to day practice includes appearing before the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and County Court, whilst maintaining an international practice in which she advises victims from different backgrounds that have experienced genocidal attacks. Some of those representations are the cases of Sudan, Afghanistan and Myanmar. Diana transferred to the London Bar in 2017 and prior to that she worked in the Republic of Cyprus. She handled complex cross border cases. Soon after completing her legal training she was offered partnership in a newly established firm and successfully led the Litigation Department; in which she introduced a clientele of over 350 cases. The HuffPost named her ‘Lawyer of the week’ and she was mentioned number of times in local newspapers of the Republic of Cyprus. Diana is active on social media and her YouTube Video on ‘International Lawyer: 5 strategic points on how to be a successful one in 2019’ has reached over 4,500 views.

Fahima Elmi
Fahima, currently a second year, developed a passion for children’s rights after her experience of living in a woman’s shelter. Her mission was to give a voice to children living in shelters and to improve the healthcare systems within these. She was the first Dutch nominee for the international Children’s Peace Prize after initiating a program in women shelters where children receive individual counseling.
In her speech she will address the challenges that she faced in her search for peace and share her experiences and insights from living on multiple “Eyelands”.
