This year’s theme, Sapere Aude (Dare to Know), aims to explore controversy by challenging individuals to go beyond their default perspectives and comfort zones. We want people to question whether their limits of knowledge are a boundary when it comes to achieving peace.
By analyzing the theme of Sapere Aude, we will ask the question, “How do we achieve universal peace in a world of such diverse and contradictory perspectives?”
In the age of social media, the abundance of misinformation makes it imperative that we don’t succumb to the comfort of blissful ignorance. We must go beyond our scope of agreeance and contemplate the opposition.
Sapere Aude encourages the community to voice their unpopular opinions.
By considering the possibility that conflict may be necessary in achieving peace, we challenge ourselves to entertain controversial perspectives, with the intention that it will bring us to peace in the long term.
Questions arise from our pursuit of what is yet to be explored. Aiming to investigate human curiosity, we encourage everyone to go beyond the superficial.
